The Lazy Dog is a country retreat for social dogs. All dogs must pass a trial day in order to be approved for boarding. We do not accept dog or human aggressive dogs. 

 

The Lazy Dog is on 6 acres of private property, with 2.5 fenced in. The dogs spend the majority of their time socializing with others, hanging out, playing with toys and enjoying the peaceful countryside. We have barn cats, chickens and a neighboring cow herd. All of which your dog's get to experience the sights, sounds and smells of. We maintain a small pack size to ensure that each dog has a unique, stress-free and fun experience. We believe in limited kennel time. We want the dogs to be active during the day so that they are well rested in the evening! 

 

We use free standing 4x4 kennels or crates for breaks, for dogs to eat in and to rest in at night. Soft beds and blankets are provided. We use stainless-steel bowls that are washed after each meal. The kennel is more of a living room set up and the dogs watch Netflix in the evening. It's climate controlled (air conditioned in the summer and heated in the colder months). There are several cameras to keep a constant eye on the dogs both inside the kennel and out. The kennel is located on my property, and I am a homebody that enjoys being around the dogs and spending time outdoors. (Rain or shine!)

The hours for drop off and pick up are between 7 AM - 10 AM and are by appointment only.

Due to Covid-19, all indoor facility tours have been suspended. Please wear a mask when picking up or dropping off your dog.
